ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE
JANUARY 2010 SEMESTER SCHEDULE OF COURSES
Registration begins on Monday, January 4 on the UBIS website

The Registration period is 2 weeks, from January 4 to January 17. Courses begin on Monday, Jan. 18. To apply for registration in a course,on Monday, Jan. 4 or after,go to the UBIS website, www.urantiabookschool.org, click on Course Offerings, select a course and click on the [Apply]button, and fill in the information on the Application. A registration "confirmation notice" will be sent to you containing the additional information needed for student participation. You will be contacted if for some reason your application can not be accepted.
We are pleased to announce the following courses for the January Semester:
Thematic Study
TITLE: Time and Space
PAPERS: 11, 12, 118, 106 and 130; Sec. 7
TEACHER/FACILITATOR: Stacey Jackson
COURSE DESCRIPTION
These papers focus on the fact, meaning, and value of space-time and its relevance to our ascension careers. This course explores a continuum of many intriquing concepts and concludes with Jesus' discourse on Time and Space.
PERSONAL BIO
Stacey lives in Cookeville, Tennessee, and has been a reader since 1998. She has a masters degree in ministry, is engaged, and is a part-time student and welder.
PART I and II
TITLE: The Divine Ministry of the Creative Mother Spirit
PAPERS: 8, [Sections from 9, 17, 33], 34, 36
TEACHER/FACILITATOR: Polly Friedman
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course will focus on the downstepping of the Mother Spirit's divine ministry beginning with the source, the Infinite Spirit, and culminating in her creations and presence through the adjutant mind spirits and Holy Spirit.
PERSONAL BIO
Polly has been a reader of The Urantia Booksince 1963. As a career educator she has served in a wide range of educational outreach programs- most recently in therealmof teacher training. She resides in Newport, RI.
PART IV
TITLE: Jesus' Sojourn to Rome: Preparing for Public Ministry
PAPERS: 130, 132, 133, 134
TEACHER/FACILITATOR: Linda Barton
COURSE DESCRIPTOR:
This course examines the personal encounters and experiences of Jesus during these four years as they solidified his understanding of who he was, what his mission on earth was to be, and how they prepared him for his public mission.
PERSONAL BIO
Linda lives in New York State with her husband and has been a reader of The Urantia Book since 1968. She worked for a major computer company for many years and now enjoys making quilts for her family and grandchildren.
